College Football’s Maryland Terrapins have scored a coup in the recruiting sweepstakes. (Feb 11)
Athlete Stefon Diggs has committed to the University of Maryland after ruling out Auburn, Cal, UCLA, and USC. Coming from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, Diggs has doubled between wide receiver and running back. The #13 prospect in ESPNU’s 150, Diggs is 6’0, 185 lbs., and has a 40 yard at 4.45. Whether Terrapins coach Randy Edsall uses him as a running back to beef up the backfield after the loss of RB Davin Meggett to the NFL is unclear – Maryland could use some help in their receiver corp, being 75th in the nation in passing offense.
Regardless of where he plays on the Terrapins team, he will be a welcome addition. His commitment to Maryland leaves only Davonte Neal as the only ESPNU 150 left uncommitted and has scheduled to commit on February 21.
