Now that Signing Day has passed, we can start looking at how the college football teams are shaping up for 2012. The Pac 12 conference lost some very good quarterbacks – Brock Osweiler (Arizona State), Nick Foles (Arizona), Darron Thomas (Oregon), and Andrew Luck (Stanford). Here are the top QB recruits going to the Pac 12:
Washington – Cyler Miles (4 star) 6’4, 220 lbs., 40 yard 4.43
2011 stats: 2144 yards passing, 67% passing eff., 20 TDs, 0 INT
Washington – Jeff Lindquist (4 star) 6’3, 225 lbs., 40 yard 4.65
2011 stats: 1994 passing yards, 15 TDs, 9 INTS, 1017 rushing yards, 18 rushing TDs
Oregon State – Brent VanderVeen (3 star) 6’5, 203 lbs.
2011 stats: 2422 passing yards, 20 TDs, 4 INTs, 463 rushing yards
Arizona – Javelle Allen (3 star) 6’1, 207 lbs., 40 yard 4.89
2011 stats: 569 passing yards, 7 TDs, 3 INTs, 1094 rushing yards, 13 rushing TDs
California – Zach Kline (4 star) 6’2, 210 lbs., 40 yard 4.9
2011 stats: 3630 yards, 67% passing eff., 36 TDs, 7 INTs
Oregon – Jake Rodriquez (4 star) 6’3, 210 lbs.
2010 stats: 2100 passing yards, 21 TDS, 1300 rushing yards, 21 rushing TDs
Utah – Travis Wilson (3 star) 6’6, 205 lbs., 40 yard 4.92
2011 stats: 2289 passing yards, 24 TDs, 8 INTs, 469 rushing yards, 9 TDs
Colorado – Shane Dillon (3 star) 6’5, 185 lbs., 40 yard 4.6
2011 stats: 2873 passing yards, 22 TDs, 9 INTs
UCLA – TJ Millweard (3 star) 6’4, 230 lbs., 40 yard 4.7
2011 stats: 1621 yards, 61% passing eff., 11 TDs, 0 INTs
Interestingly, Stanford, Arizona State, and Washington State all failed to recruit quarterbacks this year. As of now – Arizona State will rely on sophomore Mike Bercovici, Stanford on junior Brett Nottingham, and Washington State on sophomore Connor Halliday. Good news for Washington – Keith Price will return for the Huskies. USC is in the driver’s seat for quarterbacks with Matt Barkley returning for his senior year.
Come back for further updates on the 2012 college football season.
